This is the dessert we ate. It is a deep fried apple empanada basically. It was fantastic.

Lizzy and Maggie's Day of Fun!

Maggie came over to play with me today, and we decided to go to lunch. We went to Olive Garden with two of my roommates and then we wanted to go to Gateway Mall in Salt Lake. While we were there we bought some cheap new sunglasses and some Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. It was sooooo good. Afterwards, we came back to my house and we watched a movie, ate dinner, and made a delicious dessert. It was such a fun day!

Bulletin Board

So I had to make a bulletin board for my student teaching this semester and this is what I came up with. These are the classes that my school teaches for FCS. I meant for it to say "PIECE TOGETHER THE FACS OF LIFE", but when I went to cut out the letters this is what I cut out. So this is what I used. I think it turned out pretty well? One thing checked off the list of student teaching assignments. :)

So since today was Labor Day, my roommates and I decided to go to the Hogel Zoo in Salt Lake. It was me, Valerie, Stephanie, Annie, Annie's fiance Will, and our new friend George. It was so much fun. We left to go at 9:00am and we didn't get back until around 3:00pm. We had such a good time. We got to watch this really cool bird show that they had and we also got to ride on a carosel. After we had enough fun at the zoo we decided we were hungry and we went to eat at Red Robin. George decided to try and set up Stephanie with the waiter and she turned beet red. It was hilarious. It was a really good day!

Week 2

Well I've made it through my second week as a junior high school teacher. It's actually pretty fun. Yesterday I had my class playing a basketball review game, and they loved it. I think it was mostly because i was holding the basket and they got to throw paper at me. The only problem with my new profession is that I have to go to school every day. I don't know why I didn't think of that before I finished college, but I'm getting used to the idea of being eternally in school.

I'm back in the game!

So I've been waiting for my computer to come back from Texas, where it's been getting fixed, and I finally got it today. I feel connected again, and now I can start typing up lesson plans for school. YIPPEE!

First Day of School

Well if I wasn't nervous to start teaching before, I am now. The only word that comes to mind is overwhelming!!!!! I have only been one day, and already I'm exhausted. I don't know what I'm going to do when I actually have students in my class? Hopefully everything will work out fine, and atleast I have a great teacher helping me.

I hate computers

So I finally got moved into my new apartment and the first time I decided to use my computer, I turned it on and it had a virus. It kept locking up and wouldn't let me do anything. I called my dad and he said to take it to Office Depot. So off I went on an adventure in the great city of Midvale, UT. After I found the store I went in and the computer guy tried to run a scan on my computer to find out what was wrong with it, and then he told me the real exciting news. He said whatever virus is on my computer was so bad that he couldn't fix the problem without charging me $170, and to top it all off that wasn't going to be a guarantee fix. He told me if it didn't work that I would have to buy a new computer. I was so sad and angry when I left the store. I decided to see if I could have my brother-in-law Dave try and fix it with my Dad, so I mailed my computer off to Texas today. I am so sad to be without a computer, but at least my roommate is letting me use her computer. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. It's my first day of Student Teaching and I'm real nervous!

Megan's Graduation Dinner

So today was Megan's graduation from BYU. We all wen to graduation and watched her walk across the little stage. After it was over we all went to eat dinner at Red Robin. Before the food came to the table, we all took pictures together, and I loved the way that most of them turned out. It was really fun getting to be together, and it is getting me really excited for the family reunion at the end of the year.

Lava Cake

So to finish off Lizzy fun day, we made the most delicious molten chocolate cake ever. And to make it even better, we made enough for everyone to have their own. Can you say ziggy piggy? It's a good thing Lizzy fun day is almost over because I think we are all going to be sick very VERY soon, but boy was it good!

Surgery Day

So after I graduated, I had to have surgery on my head to remove the plate and screws that were there, and apparently on the way back to Cathy's house, dad took a beautiful picture of me. As you can plainly see I was sound asleep on lots of pain medication. I didn't even know that dad took a picture of me in the car until he sent me an email with pictures this morning. Thanks Dad!

Graduation from BYU-I

So after what seems like 100 years, I have finally finished with my schooling at BYU-Idaho. I was going to walk at graduation until at the last minute I decided graduation was stupid and we drove to Cathy's house instead. However, I still wanted to have some pictures showing that I did indeed finish with school and so we took pictures outside of Cathy's house with a cap and gown. It was the best graduation I have ever attended, and I'm overly ecstatic to be done with school.

Lizzy Fun Day!

Lizzy Fun Days are the best I must say! Today's was exceptional...Cathy, mom and I did just about everything we wanted to in Nampa. We got fun pictures, ate a delicious meal at Olive Garden (where we laughed until we almost peed our pants), and then we had even more fun at Bed, Bath, and Beyond which is quickly becoming one of my most favorite stores. Cathy has also been teaching me how to blog as you can plainly see. I feel as though I will be spending some quality time on my computer in the coming days and weeks.
